Dear Alphin Family,
I stand in shock and have no words that can console you or fill the void. Obviously we have memories that will remain for a lifetime, and I will contact you soon. Know however that the man I met sixteen years ago will delight the Father as he sits at the foot of the throne. I pray for once he has finally found peace! God bless you!
Sincerely, Denise

Jeff's Family,
I worked with Jeff at various ministries and we attended the same Sunday School class. Jeff was a mentor, teacher, and most of all a friend. I am grieved that his time on earth was so short. Jeff, you will be dearly missed.

To Jeff's Family:
We had the privilege of knowing and loving Jeff. We served with him in the youth program at Cave Spring Baptist Church here in Roanoke. I also served on the staff with him. It was an honor to know him both as a minister and a person. He was a kind, loving human being who lived what he believed. We will always remember him and hold a special place in our hearts for him. We loved him dearly and will forever be grateful for the time we had together and how he touched our lives. Thinking of all of you with sympathy and praying for God's grace to sustain you.

Martha and Greg,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss and am very saddened by Jeff's death. As a childhood friend, I have many fond memories of Jeff and fishing at York's pond, playing football games at the field near your home, times at church, and spending lots of time together in the summer at the Carter's. Please know that you and your family are in our prayers during this difficult time.

Jeff married my wife and I at Hollins Road Church of the Brethren in Roanoke, VA on November 20th, 1993. He also served as Youth Minister at our home church, Cave Spring Baptist in Roanoke. He touched many lives and will be missed by all who had the priviledge of knowing him.

Jeff's Mom,
I was Jeff's Sunday School teacher and close friend at Rivermont. I loved Jeff like a brother, and grieve for his loss. I, like many, considered him my best friend: he was the most giving and compassionate person that I have ever met. He had a true servant's heart, and I will miss him dearly.

Martha,
I am sooo sorry to hear about Jeff.
You know that I loved Jeff as a brother growing up. I have such fond memories of our childhood.
We had the best softball games ever in your backyard not to mention the bike rides we used to take to 7-11.
I will forever remember our times together and god bless you and your family.
Love,
Susie
