Jeffrey Galston Obituary
He was born December 22, 1954, in Richmond, to Herbert H. and Rosamond L. Galston. Jeff graduated from the University of Virginia in 1977, obtained his master's in Hospital Administration from Duke University in 1982 and his J.D. degree from T.C. Williams School of Law in 1987.
Jeff is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Jonathan Lang) and Arielle; he is also survived by his sister, Wendy Galston Gold (James); and nieces, Amy Gold and Abigail Gold Geller (Eric).
The central focus of Jeff's career was family law with the majority of his cases helping children and the elderly, advocating for them. Jeff served on various boards, including Jewish Family Services, Congregation Or Ami, Beth Sholom Home and Trellis Crossing Home Owners Association.
Jeff's family is especially appreciative of the many devoted caregivers of Jewish Family Services.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with a private interment.

While we only met or talked every few years as I was in Richmond just a few times each year, each time was like we just were speaking a few days earlier. We had lunch pre-pandemic in likely 2019 and Jeff was in his bow tie having just come from court. He was as always upbeat and full of 'news' (at least to us). I will miss his generally positive perspective on goings on in Richmond and around Collegiate. He was a true friend through many travails both in our school years and later life. Jeff was a good friend in high school who became an even better friend 8 years later when we found ourselves in Law School together (shared suffering!) We lost touch with each other after I moved away from Richmond in 1995. He was a good man and will be very missed!
