Joan Burrell Hopkins, 76, of Henrico, departed this life, Friday, October 18, 2024. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Elwood Burrell, Sr. and Alleyne Burrell; brother Elwood Burrell, Jr. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, loving partner, Calvin Thigpen, Jr.; daughter, Shelby Haskins (Geoff); son, Calvin Thigpen, III (Devlyn Charity); grandchildren, Madisyn Thigpen and Miles Haskins; sisters, Brenda White and Aretha Powell; a host of other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where viewing will be held, Monday, October 28, 2024, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., family hour, 5 to 6 p.m. Celebration of Life service, 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at March Funeral Home. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
