John Cortopassi Obituary

CORTOPASSI John Joseph Cortopassi, 89, of Chesterfield, passed away January 1, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kim Marie Cortopassi. He is survived by two sons, Martin Wynn and Louis Cortopassi; a brother, Al Cortopassi of New York; seven grandchildren; and devoted friends, Diane Harris, whom he thought of as a daughter, and Nancy Berger. Mr. Cortopassi was an Army veteran of World War II. John was a very active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. His family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, with a Rosary Service being held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, followed by interment at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery.

Louis & Martin,

I remember being a teenage girl and having Sunday dinners at the Cortopassi home. They were always so wonderful, and I have always held these memories of such a warm and loving family near to me. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
