JD was a great friend, bullet maker, shooter, and teacher. JD was always patient walking me through how to find the correct core seat punch or finding the right seating depth in a new barrel. His bullets were some of the best available to the benchrest community! I shot his bullets to get Hall of Fame points and to compete in the World Benchrest competition.
JD also liked his bean soup and Corn bread! He always invited me over to enjoy a bowl of soup and the corn bread that he had just made in a cast iron skillet! After a good meal, JD always had a new gadget or toy to show off and discuss.
The one thing JD always had with him and meant as much as anything was his best friend, Dixie!!
JD will be missed!
