Suzanne.

My sincere deepest sympathy to you and your famly. John has been my supervisor for nearly 16 years. All of our hearts in the design division feel so empty without him. John showed me respect, honesty and fairness as well as friendship. I will always remember him. God Bless the Duncan Family.

Suzanne, Josh and Lindsay,

I was so shocked and sad to learn that John had passed away. I was already at the County when John came onboard. He was such a nice and sincere person and always upbeat. John always had something good to say about everyone. Whenever I needed something done, he always did it with a smile. Josh and Lindsay, I remember when each of you were born--what a proud father he was! John touched the lives of so many people and I know he will be greatly missed. Since my retirement, on my trips back to Richmond, I saw him several times and he never seemed to change. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family, especially as the holiday season approaches. I am sure your wonderful memories will see you through this difficult time.

Dear Suzanne and family,

I have known John since he came to work at the County. He was always a gentleman, smiling and easy to work with. He was my supervisor for several years and a fine one. I have not seen him much since I retired 10 years ago but it was good to know that he was there. He will be missed.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Suzanne,

Words cannot express my sorrow for you and your family. John was so indispensable to me all the years we worked together at the County. He was always so willing to help no matter what was asked of him. I will miss his cheery smile in the morning as he got himself a cup of coffee and we caught up on what was happening with our families. If there is anything that I can ever do for you, please don’t hesitate to ask. My prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

One of my fondest memories of John are the great shirt and tie sets that he wore. He's the only gentlemen that I knew who could wear the color pumpkin so well.

I will truly miss my friend John.
