My prayers and thoughts are with you this week. I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Jack. I worked with him for almost two decades. The one constant I could depend on during my tenure at WTVR was Jacks' calm, easy manner, quick wit...and smile. ( I can still see Jack in his pastel polo shirts with the turned up collar humming a jazz turn or telling me about the latest part he was purchasing for his "sporty" vehicles).

Our desks were near each other for a while, so Jack and I also shared stories about our families. His love for his children, grandchildren, and his wife Dali was always apparent. ( In fact, Jack and Dali did me the honor of attending my going away party, one of the last times I saw the two of them together).

I stopped by the station last summer and there was Jack. It was obvious he was sick, but there he was in the polo shirt, smiling, telling jokes with a twinkle in his eye. It was privilege to have worked with a television pioneer like Jack.

I feel so honored to have been able to call Jack Rowley a colleague... and friend. He will be missed

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jack gave me my first job in TV while I was still in college. Over

the past few years I would call him

sometime during the holidays and we

would share old times and really just to make sure he was doing ok.

I'm sure going to miss talking with

him during the holidays, again my thoughts and prayers go out to the family. He will be missed.

I worked with Jack Rowley at WTVR-TV in the 1980's. He was truly one of the nice guys in television. He always had a smile and helping hand -- to do whatever needed to be done. For fifty years, Channel 6 was a better place because of Jack Rowley. I hope that the students I'm teaching today will be half as successful as Jack was. It was a pleasure knowing him and working with him.

My deepest sympathies to the family.

Mark, Jane, Mark and Rachel,

My sympathy is with you during this time of sorrow.

Mark, you have been blessed with wonderful, lifetime memories of your father. His legacy to you is one of love, honor, courage and commitment.

Jane, I know from our conversations that you held Jack in the highest regard and love. Your joy in him as a father-in-law radiated each time you recounted outings and family visits.

I remember Jack as a quiet loving grandfather to Mark and Rachel. I first met Jack at Mark's Boyscout pinning ceremony. During the ceremony, he held Rachel close, smiled and nodded with pride as Mark took his oath. He always exemplified the loving, involved, nurturing, parent and grandparent.

Jack's gift was to positively impact many lives and hearts.

What a role model!

My prayers and thoughts remain with you.

To my friends John, Joey and Mark, we will all miss your Dad. He was a great guy with a tremendous sense of humor, a ready smile and a cheerful word. Everyone who knew him will always remember him that way. We would all do well to follow the example he set for us. May he rest in peace.

Joe, John & Mark-

I am truly sorry about the loss of your father. He was an outstanding man and role model for me as I was growing up-I learned a lot from him and he always took time to listen to me. I will always remember him not only as your Dad but as a friend.

To the Family of Jack Rowley

I recall the days spent at WTVR/TV6 working for and with JACK as being very pleasant. I was an intern, then permant hire(scared) but in the production area he was a friend and wizard . . . to Jack I say thank you and may your eternal life be all that you deserve and desire. May God continue to be those that remain on earth.

Sincerely
