I am so sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. She was one of the kindest most caring people I've ever known. She was always thinking of others in need, loving her family, contributing to her community. As sad as this is and as much as she will be missed, she leaves a mark, especially on her family, but also on all the lives she touched of how to live life the right way. My heartfelt condolences to her family. Be proud, she was a special person, someone I will always feel fortunate to say was my friend.

So sorry for your great loss. I was one of the ones they opened their home to and I'll always fondly remember my time there living in their basement. Joyce and Weldon were such a wonderful example of people living out their faith in tangible ways. Cherish your memories and the great blessing of being brought up by such a godly couple. May the peace of our Lord Jesus comfort all of you.

So sorry for your lost Emma. Never got to know your mother very well. Mostly at the softball games at Doswell School and the bank. But she was always friendly and kind to me. She will certainly be missed around Doswell.

Condolences to Joyce's family and friends. A beautiful life, well lived in service to her family and community, exemplifying her Christian faith and her loving personality. Fondly remembered from our days together in the Henry Clay Hogh School Clas of 1952.

First met Mrs. Mitchell in 1979 when I first moved to Va. She was with Sun Trust in Doswell at the time and helped me a lot. One of the finest and real people that I met while living in Va. My deepest sympathies to her family.
