May 12, 1950 - December 6, 2025
Kathy A. Schiavone (nee Eschborn) passed away peacefully on Saturday December 6, 2025.
Beloved wife for 54 years of M. Guy Schiavone; dear mother of Lisa (Mitchell) Dinep and Guy (Paige) Schiavone. Grandmother to Jessica, Mark and Katie Dinep; Will and Dylan Schiavone; Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth Eschborn and her sister, Karol Eschborn. Survived by sisters Karen (Arnold) Kleiman and Kim (Dave) Maloney and brother, Bill Eschborn.
Born and raised in the Buffalo, NY area, she attended local schools and worked for Buffalo State College. After moving to Virginia, she was employed by the Virginia Lottery and retired in 2005. She was a member of the 1966 VFW National Champion Shamrocks Drill Team. Her passions in life were her grandchildren and Drum Corps International where she attended many regular season and National Championship shows.
The family wishes to thank the ICU team at St. Francis Medical Center for their kindness and empathy while caring for our loved one.
Kathy, we will love you and miss you forever.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on Thursday, December 18 at Church of the Epiphany, 11000 Smoketree Dr, Richmond, VA 23236.
Burial will be private.
