Kenneth Tuck Obituary

Kenneth (Kenny) Tuck

October 21, 1953 - August 3, 2025

Kenneth (Kenny) Tuck, 71, of Richmond, VA, passed away on August 3, 2025.

Kenny was a born salesman and built a career in the tire industry. If you met Kenny once, you were never a stranger for long. His enthusiasm for meeting new people and building connections served him both personally and professionally. When he wasn't working, you could find him on the water with a fishing rod in one hand and a cold beer in the other, alongside his dear friends Bubba, Doug, and Bill at the "Rivah."

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon; daughters Kelli Tuck, Lindsay Tuck, and Krystin "Scoot" Buchanan (Kenneth); honorary daughters Bridget Murrell and Corrine Townsend; and sister, Janice Turner (Bill). He was proudest to be called "Cappy" by his grandchildren Kellan, Mackley, and Rinley Buchanan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grayson and Rosalie Tuck.

True to his spirit, Kenny never wanted a funeral, he wanted a party. A celebration of his life and a toast to his memory will be held on September 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Old Church Community Center, 2080 Old Church Rd, Mechanicsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to C.A.S.T. for Kids.

Sharon, Kelli, Lindsay and Krystin,
We are so sorry to hear of Kenny´s passing. What great memories we have of being together at Hermitage football game´s watching the Pride of Central Virginia Hermitage Marching Panthers marching and performing on the field; hauling band and flag equipment and chaperoning band trips, band competitions and hanging out after Friday night football games at local restaurants. Kenny was such a great guy and fun to be with. You all are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Sending heartfelt love and hugs to you all. Pat and Carlton

I met Kenny in the early 70tees , we both had a mutual friend in Dilly Priest. Later I brought tires from him for many years. Kenny always was happy and smiling. I know how much he loved his family. RIP Kenny Tuck

I always enjoyed working with Kenny, I could always count on him to handle his customers in a professional manner and they always appreciated that. I know he would always do what he had to for his family. I was fortunate to know Kenny and I know he left Sharon and the girls with many great memories.

Sharon, it has been many years since I've seen you, all the way back to the W Broad St ofc, but If my mom was still living, she'd be writing this with me. I remember as if it were yesterday when you and Kenny were married. I remember when the food didn't show up and your mom and dad were an inch off of a panic. I went into the church and started putting sandwiches together from all we could find in the fridge. What a day. But you and Kenny had no idea and instead were beaming with love and joy. It was a perfect wedding, a perfect union. Andy used to say, "Awww, yeah, they're just right". 50 years ago! Everyone should be so lucky to have their perfect match.
I am so sorry for the loss you are feeling, Sharon. I lost my own love of a lifetime just 2 weeks ago so I truly understand. But that love never dies, it lives and goes on in everything we see, everything we do, everything we create. I am sending you a huge hug this day from both mom and me.
