Dear Herb, Kayeley, Zachary, Mr and Mrs Leslie,

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I met Kim when I started working at the Defense Supply Center. She and I were interns at the same time and we hit it off as friends right away. I was so blessed to have her as a friend! I have so many wonderful memories of all the things we did together like shopping, going out to lunch or dinner, going to craft shows. We would meet for breaks during work and we would talk about the latest diet we were on and compare notes. She was the one who got me into taking dance classes and I'll always be thankful for that. I always looked forward to her wonderful Christmas cookies and candies that she made! One memory that stands out in my mind is when, while on her way to her grandfather's funeral many years ago, she took the time to stop by my office to give me a birthday cake that she had made herself. That touched my heart. I hadn't seen her for several years, but often thought of her. Kim, I will miss you and never forget you!

God bless!

I am so sorry to hear of Kim's death...she will be missed at DSCR.

She was one of the first persons I met when I came to the center. She had a beautiful voice and shared her love for music at several events. God will give you strength to get through these days ahead. There will always be that special place in your hearts for Kim...for those who go before us...we know we will meet them again in Eternity. My sincere sympathy. Brenda Ryan, Public Affairs Office, DSCR

I knew Kim when I worked for DSCR. She was a very active member of our Federal Women's Committee. She was very energetic and full of ideas that helped make our programs successful. We were talking one day and I learned that I had attended high school with her mother, Cookie and her aunt, Patricia. She was a lovely girl who took her work seriously and did a great job. My prayers are with her family during this difficult time. Cecelia Anderton Becker.

Kim and I go back to high school. We were GPGC sorority sisters. I will never forget Kim. She was so fun-loving and spirited. Her energy was contagious. We met up again later after college when we both went to work for DSCR. She and I were both pregnant at the exact same time. When she had a daughter, I had a son. When she had a son, I had a daughter. We sat right across from each other at DSCR during our second pregancy and shared stories daily. She and I also shared an enthusiasm for Longaberger baskets and jewelry. Kim was a dear, dear friend and I will miss her so much. She loved her family dearly and we often talked about kids and family and houses and yards. Kim, I will miss our talks. Herb, Kayley, and Zachary, Kim loved you all so much. I know she is in Heaven singing and dancing like she loved to do. Place your pain and sorrows in God's hands and know that your mom is feeling better now and will always watch over you from above.

Kim,

When I think back my childhood, I don't think there is a memory that doesn't include you. From church to school, from dance classes to Rangerettes... you were always there. Even our year at Ferrum was the best because I knew you were right upstairs. You were there when my mom died, along with your parents who helped me through more than they will ever know. I wish I had gotten to know your children a little better. It was strange that we lived so near each other but did not get together in our adult lives. I will miss you, Kim, but I know you are singing in God's choir now. Keep a seat in the front row for me! I love you! xoxoxox Dawn

I knew Kim from work. She and I were two of the few women working in Tech as 1910 Quality Assurance Specialists at DSCR. I am so very sad about her death. I will never forget the business trip to Boston we took together. Kim was a very warm person, and a great person to know. My prayers to her family.
