Lewis lived across the street from me and my parents and was a fantastic neighbor. I remember when he came to the house and installed a whole-house fan, frequently used at night to save on air conditioning. When I graduated from VA Tech, Lewis set up an interview with Dominion (Virginia Power) which turned into a nearly 43-year career with Dominion. While I lost contact with Lewis early in my career, I remembered Lewis's connection to safety and frequently worked with corporate safety to promote safety in the nuclear division. The world would be a better place with more people like Lewis Hobson.

LaDelle and family,
I only heard of Louie's passing today. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was such a good man! We'll all miss him. I usually saw him and interacted with him in his Safety Director position when he was with S.W. Funk. He always had a new safety idea and was eager to share with others. I also want to thank you for some great years of utilizing your beach house when he had a "ding" in the car or truck and we traded for a week. Hugs to you and please know that you will all be in our thoughts and prayers! The Presutti's

I write to extend my most sincere condolences to LaDelle, Jennifer, and all those to whom Lew meant so much.
Lew meant a great deal to me as an example of man, neighbor, and servant in love and obedience to Christ.
My children already miss him and his amazing, imaginary, purple pet hippo who loved peanut butter sandwiches. If it be the Lord's will, I know that he and "Mabel" will welcome each of my family in heaven.

I served in the Va. Air National Guard with Louie for 7 years and we remained friends for many years after our service. We had some good times back in the day. Louie was a great guy.
