Lloyd Mercer Obituary
A wake will take place on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 6 until 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church Centralia, 2920 Kingsdale Road, North Chesterfield, Va. 23237.
Funeral services will take place on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 2 p.m. at New Sawyer's Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 312 Sleepy Hollow Road, Camden, N.C. Interment will follow in the Mercer Family Cemetery, Camden, N.C.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memory the following loved ones: his fianceé, Celena Sawyer of the home; son, Staff Sergeant William Anthony Gordon, U.S. Army, Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, N.C.; special daughter, Courtney Brumsey of Greenville, N.C.; sister, Angelita Mercer Steele of Durham, N.C.; nephew, Caleb Steele of Durham, N.C.; maternal aunts and uncles, Lucille Gallop, Elizabeth City, N.C., Charlie Hughes Jr. (Linda), Clarence Hughes (Lucinda) and Brenda Poole (James), all of Shiloh, N.C., Rita Clemens (Mike), Wendell, N.C., Rosyln Cruell, MD, Sharon Sullivan, Durham, N.C. and Valerie Gallop (Rev. Gregory), Petersburg, Va.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
