Lois DeLeon Obituary

Lois Jean DeLeon, 71, departed this life Sunday, May 15, 2005 at her home in Colonial Heights, having valiantly fought pancreatic cancer for 20 months. She is survived by her loving husband of four years, Joseph DeLeon; two sons, Donald H. Smith of Chester, Va. and Jeffrey S. Smith of Midlothian, Va.; two daughters-in-law, Sici Cumby and Billie Jean Smith; five grandsons, Brandon, Jordon, Jeffrey, Nolan and Zachary. She was preceded in death by a third son, Victor L. Smith. She is also survived by two dear sisters and their spouses, Sue Addison Athanas and husband, Philip of Virginia Beach, Va. and Bettie Addison Boggs and husband, Jim of North Charleston, S.C.; and one brother, Andy Addison and wife, Dot of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two stepchildren, Lisa DeLeon Marshall of Petersburg, Va. and Joey DeLeon II of Pa.; one step grandson, Kyle DeLeon also of Pennsylvania; and a host of in-laws, other relatives and special friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 7:30 p.m., at Swift Creek Baptist Church, 18510 Branders Bridge Road in Colonial Heights, officiated by Reverend Steve Felker. The family will receive visitors 30 minutes prior to the service in the fellowship hall. A private family graveside service will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the "Special Kids" Sunday School Class at Swift Creek Baptist Church.
