Lula Mae Capps Ferrell

FERRELL, Lula Mae Capps, 87, of Chester, VA, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2024. She was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah M. and Zelda Mae Capps; her husband, Rudolph Ferrell; and her brothers, Charles Capps, Bill Capps, Johnny Capps, and Steve Tedder. She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Koogler (Mike), Diane Morse (Curtis), Lauren Carmichael (Paul "Hoagy"), Lisa Ferrell (Dennis Golding), Linda Daniels (Kennedy), and Amanda Billings (Tony); her grandchildren, Brandon Weeks (Amanda), Rick Morse (Erin), Rachel Pastorfield, Goldie Daniels, Parker Daniels, Kendall Daniels (fiancée Max); her great-grandchildren, Savannah and Cheyenne Pastorfield, and Hannah, Ava, Jessa, and Emma Billings; her brother, Pete Capps (Sandy); and numerous nieces and nephews. She retired from Philip Morris, as a supervisor, in 1993, and went on to become an Associate Agent for Nationwide Insurance, retiring again in 2013. She spent her retirement enjoying her family and flower gardens. She had a great sense of humor, loved working in the yard, she loved her family, and she was loved by everyone that met her. She will be cherished forever in our hearts, and she will truly be missed.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., on Monday, June 3, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
