Margaret Ann "Marge" Barnes

BARNES, Margaret Ann "Marge", 83, of Caroline County, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen Louis Barnes; and brother, Emmerson Cripps. She is survived by her sister, Rose Sleeman (Syd); and brother-in-law, Pat Barnes. She was the mother of seven children, Steve Jr., Sue Albaugh (John), Mike Barnes, Mary Woods (David), Kevin, Kim, Katie Holmes (Chuck); and two adopted children, Erica Irwin (Dave) and Chandler. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 7, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Ladysmith, Va., with a reception to follow in the church narthex. The family will also receive friends at the church one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 10306 Ladysmith Rd., Ladysmith, Va. 22501, for the compassionate, loving visits and support she received throughout her illness.
