Margaret Reed Fife

1940 - 2022

FIFE, Margaret Reed, On Friday morning, April 22, 2022, an angel of the Lord called Margaret Reed Fife "Sister," home to her heavenly reward. She was born on June 29, 1940 to the late Esther Reed Henry and James Reed. Margaret was educated in the Richmond Public School System. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a dedicated member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Usher Board for many years. Margaret was employed at Philip Morris USA, Inc. in 1974, where she retired in March 2006. Her beloved husband, James Fife Sr., whom she loved dearly, preceded her in death on February 9, 2021. Left to cherish her loving memory are her one sister, Helen Dean; and one brother, Joseph Reed (Gwen); three daughters, Yolanda J. Covington, Iris Fife and Cynthia Robinson of Charlotte, N.C.; one son, James Fife Jr.; and one son preceded her in death, Robert Fife; one son-in-law, Clark Robinson of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters-in-law, Miranda Fife and Robin Fife; nine grandchildren, Melissa Wright, Garry Fife, Dominique Adeniyi, Devon Williams, Robert Harris, Twyleta Fife, Cameron Robinson, Timothy Fife and James Fife III; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street, where family will receive friends Friday, April 29, 2022 from 5 to 6 p.m. and Margaret's Celebration of Life is Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Mimms Funeral Home. Interment Maury Cemetery.
