Margaret Mary Parker

Margaret Mary "Peggy" Parker, 74, of Henrico, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 11, 2025.

Born and raised in Richmond, Peggy lived a life dedicated to service, kindness, discipline, and respect. She was a proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and the University of Richmond. Peggy began her career at the Life Insurance Company of Virginia, where she served as Director of Government Relations for 24 years. She then became the Executive Director of the Virginia Life, Accident, and Sickness Insurance Guaranty Association, a position she held from October 1992 until her retirement in March 2022. In 1999, she co-founded APM Management Services, Inc. Peggy was actively involved on several boards, including Our Lady of Hope and the Ruxton Board of Directors, and was a cherished source of knowledge for her constituents, family, and friends.

Peggy was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. She treasured her time spent with family and enjoyed traveling across the country to visit loved ones and explore the country; Kitty Hawk, N.C., held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Nathan Parker and Margaret Hargadon Parker; and siblings, Vincent Nathan Parker, Jr., Frederick Phillip Parker, Sr., and Dolores Ann Parker. Peggy is survived by her siblings, Monica (David) Cochran, Gwen Parker, and Timothy (Kitt) Finley-Parker; along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She also leaves behind dear neighbors, colleagues, and lifelong friends who will carry her memory forward with love.

The family will hold visitation at Bliley's - Augusta on August 20, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Bridget's Church on August 21, 2025, at 11 a.m.

Peggy's legacy of strength and generosity will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
