Marguerite L. "Peggy" Breene

BREENE, Marguerite "Peggy" L., 70, of Richmond, Va., passed away January 26, 2022. She is survived by her mother, Judy Breene; her sister, Tammi Walters (Mike); her brother, Patrick Breene (Barbara) of Franklin, Pa.; and her two sons, Trip Ellis (Lynne) of Richmond, Va. and Matt Ellis (Kandise) of St. Augustine, Fla. Marguerite was dearly loved by her five grandchildren, Kyra, Olivia, Kedren, Mazie and Kelek. She was also preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Breene; sister, Kathleen; and brothers, Mike and Timothy Breene.

Marguerite grew up in Franklin, Pa., where she graduated from Rocky Grove High School before moving to Richmond, Va. to attend Virginia Commonwealth University. She had a successful career in property management for over 40 years. Marguerite found joy in spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. The beach was her favorite retreat. She loved spending time at the ocean with her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance at ccalliance.org. The family would like to thank the nurses at The Ponce Therapy Care Center in St. Augustine, Fla. for all of their care during her final days of life.
