I was not aware of Mike's passing, My sincere condolences to Lori and his entire family. I worked with Mike as my manager at Oppenheimer for several years and he made every minute enjoyable. I miss his lunch meetings and humor. Lori was always a joy. Should never have moved to Ameriprise to retire. Down in Melbourne Fl. Wish I could have been there for a celebration of his life. I am compelled not to let this chapter close without submitting a photo of Mike with a golf club in his hands enjoying the sport he excelled in for many years. So as Mike is turning in his card to the heavenly scorer's tent, I think we can all agree that Mike played a great round in his life on earth. Rest in peace cousin and thanks for the laughs!

Mike definitely kept things lively. His humor, warmth, and commitment to family will not be forgotten. He was the first to hypothesize the COOLER, had a story on every game iced down, and even devised plots to help his team´s odds. Dedicated Hokie...... yes. On point ...... yes. Fondly remembered...... absolutely.

My condolences to Mike's immediate family and to the extended Bannon Family.
I first meet Mike when we were young boys and our families lived in the apartments on Chamberlayne Ave; and later when the Bannons moved to Noble Ave. Mike and I were friends (maybe best friends) in those days. I, being essentially an only child in those days, was in total awe of the hectic, chaotic atmosphere of the Bannon household. It was such fun to be in that environment. I still remember the back yard touch football and whiffle ball games; the Ginter Park pool; Sharon learning to parallel park and using Mike and I as her guide posts (Mike was always smart enough to be the front guide post!). It was fun times for me.
As Mike and I approached high school our paths took different directions and we didn't see as much of each other. As adults, efforts to reconnect never seem to work out.
Thank you, Mike, for your friendship and the good memories. May you be blessed and rest in peace.

I knew Mike from O´Toole´s restaurant. I played the piano and Doris loved Danny Boy. I played that tune lots of times when Mike was in attendance. My sympathy to Lori and the rest of this close family
