Marvin Hulcher Whitlock

Marvin Hulcher Whitlock Sr. of Richmond died Wednesday, December 5, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Pamela E. Whitlock; four sons, Jerry Whitlock and his wife, Cheryl, James Whitlock and his wife, Linda, Marvin H. Whitlock Jr. and his wife, Rhonda and Charles E. Whitlock and his wife, Teresa; two brothers, William E. Whitlock and his wife, Miriam and Carroll "Pete" Whitlock and his wife, Joyce; a sister, Imogene Clarke; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Whitlock was the past state chaplain for D.A.V., the past commander of Paul Long Chapter 44, D.A.V., and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Bliley Funeral Home’s Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Al Bartraw Jr. Chapter 50, D.A.V., P.O. Box 456, Chesterfield, Va. 23832.
