Michael Coyle

June 3, 1949 - November 30, 2024

Michael Patrick Coyle passed away in his Richmond, VA home surrounded by family members on November 30, 2024. He was born June 3, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA. He was preceded in death by parents, John and Margaret Coyle; and sister, Deborah Sanders. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Marie; sons, Brendan, Matthew and Kevin; daughter-in-law, Megan; and grandchildren, Lucia and Julian, whom he adored. He is survived also by elder brother, John (Mary Ann); and many nieces and nephews. Michael was blessed with great curiosity which he expressed through many interests and pursuits. He played guitar and was an avid listener of music, and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. He was a lover of sports who followed all the teams of his home town of Philadelphia. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge 168 in Ashland, VA. Michael was a hard worker who supported his family through a career in the transportation industry that allowed him to experience residence in many of the states along the east coast.

A celebration of life for close family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
