Minnie Agnew Obituary

AGNEW, Minnie June Seal, For several years, Minnie June Seal Agnew (age 84) longed to be with her Lord Jesus Christ. She was born June 12, 1937 in Rocky Hollow near Princeton, W.Va. On Thursday, February 3, 2022, Minnie's prayers were answered as she joined her husband, Oscar Benton Agnew "Benny," who preceded her in death on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. On January 25, 2022, they were married 62 years. During the past year, Minnie had a premonition that when she or her husband passed, the other would be going also. Although heartbroken, this leaves her family knowing that their loved ones are together in Heaven. Minnie was predeceased by her father, Robert Trenton Seal; mother, Geneva Ira Seal; brothers, Robert Benton "R.B.," Kyle; sisters, Elizabeth Stump Zagaria and Shirley Gills. She leaves to cherish her memory sister, Mary Alma Gills; children, Carlos Benton Agnew (Cheryl), Lenora June Albrecht and Emily Charlene Madden (Eric); grandchildren, Kevin and Jace Agnew, Isabel and Isaac Madden; and great-granddaughters, Grace and Faith Agnew. In addition, many other beloved family and friends.

As a preacher's wife, she served in many roles to support her husband and the ministry. Her life was an example to others and she didn't have to state she was a Christian for people to know. She led others to Christ through kindness and was respected for her strong faith.

Minnie was the best. She loved her family and friends, having fun, to laugh and to share stories. She wasn't ashamed of her humble upbringing and believed there was more to life than stuff. She lovingly taught her and other's children to serve God, have strong morals and to be truthful. She loved kids and left a lasting impression on ones now grown that she babysat through the years.

Minnie attended West End Assembly of God Church (WEAG), where she last worked in the nursery after retiring from Henrico County Dumbarton Library where she was a clerk.

A combined viewing and funeral service for both Minnie and her husband Benny "Oscar" will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Entombment will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Park Mausoleum.

We are so broken hearted for you . You are in our prayers and hearts. We can take peace in knowing that they are in the arms of God. Minnie got her request that they go to meet the Lord together. We know that God is going to watch over you children and that one day you will see them again. We love you and are here for you.

Carlos, June, and Emily~ I pray for God's loving embrace to surround each of you and offer you strength and comfort as you grieve the loss of your parents. May beautiful memories fill the void in your hearts and remind you of their love for you and for one another.

You were truly a kind & gracious woman who we loved & respected so much. You were also a true example of a Christian. We are going to miss you so much, but we know this isn´t the end. The best is yet to come when we meet again in Heaven.
