To the family and friends of Morris Hayden Jr: I was deeply saddened to learn today of Mr. Hayden's passing. As a Music Intern at UVA Medical Center, I had many occasions to play my harp for him during his long months of waiting. I hope and pray my music was of some comfort to him. He was a very fine man and I shall miss him. I am so sorry for your loss. "Good people will be remembered as a blessing . . ." Proverbs 10:7

Virginia, Tameka, Tamara, Ms. Carlotta, and the rest of the Hayden Family. We have know Morris since becoming friends back in the 70's. We know that he was a hard working man. Now that his earthly labors have ended he is at rest and at peace. Even though he is no longer with you in the physical body he will be with you forever in your heart and mind.

In celebrating his home going we say to each of you - hold fast to your memories, to all of the cherished moments of the past. Hold to the blessings, the laughter, the joys, the celebrations, the sorrows and yes, even the tears. They all add up to a treasure of fond yesterdays that you shared and spent together. It is these memories that will keep Morris close to you in spirit and thought. The special moments and memories of him will never change. They will always be in your heart today and forever.

We pray that each of you will continue to Hold to God's unchanging hand for He knows, He cares and He loves you.

To the Hayden family,

Mr. Morris will be truly missed. We met him at the car dealership. He is one of the most prestigious man you could have ever have met. He was a man who loved his family. We always looked up to him because he always gave us a word of thought. God has only sent him to us for a while. During the time he was here I am sure he has shed light on a lot of people. He will be truly missed. God will take care of you in your time of sorrow. God will truly bless you.

As I sit here and think of the many laughs that my Uncle Junnie and I have had whether it be on the phone, at his job, or after church, I will surely miss him and his upbeat spirit. Anytime that I wanted to discuss a topic, he didn't mine hearing me out and giving his opinion. He always made time for his nieces and nephews and was always famous for saying "Call me or Come see me". He never shunned us away. I will surely miss those times. I know that you are watching over your family. We will all miss you dearly.

Your niece,

Sharon

I never thought this day would come but it is here

Someone that I loved so deeply is not near

I will never forget the things you taught

Some of things so precious in life can not be brought

Although it hurts me so to see you go

Your memory and legacy will always carry on

Daddy, I can remember all the things you told me and never would I tell you they were true but always remember how much I loved you!!!
