Otto J. "Bubba" Gragnani

GRAGNANI, Otto "Bubba" J., of Richmond, died unexpectedly on January 8, 2022, at the age of 77. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Bubba will be missed by all those who knew him, especially his family which was the most cherished part of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter M. Gragnani and Jennie Poli Gragnani; and his brother, Peter M. Gragnani. Bubba is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda B. Gragnani; his children, Carmen G. Slayton (Jeremy) and Jay M. Gragnani (Jennifer); and his five grandchildren, whom he adored, Carolyn and Michael Slayton and Jacob, Ava and Oliver Gragnani. A Richmond native, Bubba is a graduate of Benedictine High School and the University of Richmond. Throughout his life, Bubba proudly supported both alma maters. He enjoyed a long and successful career in sales, retiring as a senior account executive with Pitney Bowes. Bubba was proud of his Italian heritage and was an active member of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy – Giuseppe Verdi Lodge #315. Bubba was a longtime member of ACAC Midlothian, where he enjoyed countless walks and workouts with friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 2, 11 a.m. at the University of Richmond Cannon Chapel, 134 UR Drive, Richmond, Va. 23173. The family and church respectfully require masks to be worn at all times and social distancing will be enforced. A celebration of Bubba's life will follow at Willow Oaks Country Club, 6228 Forest Hill Ave., Richmond, Va. 23225. If you are unable to attend the funeral, please feel free to come by Willow Oaks between 12 to 2 p.m. The family respectfully asks attendees to wear masks and maintain social distance when possible at Willow Oaks.
