Paula B. Swansey

SWANSEY, Paula B., of Richmond, VA, passed away on May 12, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born in Salisbury, MD and resided at the Masonic Home of Virginia at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley W. Brown and Edna Mae Brown; her husband, Edward F. Swansey, Jr; brother, Stanley G. Brown; and sister, Kay Tuccillo.

Paula is survived by her daughters, Deborah Shiflett (Bill), Christine Cantrell, Karen Swansey-Brewer and Pamela Swansey; grandchildren, Christopher Shiflett, Hunter Cantrell (Tiffany), Kyle Shiflett, Kaitlin Cantrell, Raquel Flynn (Alan), Kory Swansey, and Tyler Swansey; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, with OES service at 5:15 p.m., at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home.

Interment will be private.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Masonic Home Chapel and is open to all. A reception will follow.
