Rebecca (Becky) Ann Francisco Duke passed away peacefully at her home in Louisa, Virginia on May 28.

Becky was born July 13,1937 in Beaverdam, Virginia and was the youngest of eight children to Marshall Latine Nuckolls and Maurice Garland Francisco. She met the love of her life and was married to Goodman (Budgie) Burnett Duke for more than 65 years before his death in March 2021.

Becky was a caring housewife and mother to her three sons, and she worked side-by-side with Budgie in their family businesses Duke Oil Co., Gentry Well Drilling, and Refyl, Inc. Becky was active with numerous organizations within her community; she loved flowers and gardening, and she was an avid tennis player.

Becky was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She is survived by her sister Martha "Sookie" Beck; her three sons and daughters-in-law: Goodman "Butch" and Sharon, David and Morgan, and Andrew and Mary Elizabeth; her grandchildren: Evelyn Bean (McLean), Goodman Duke (Kristen), Kitty Duke, John Duke (Katy), Ann Duke, and James Duke; her great-grandchildren: Eleanor and Elizabeth Bean, Brenner, Lillie, and Harlowe Duke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Latine; her brothers, Maurice Francisco Jr., Theodore Waddy Francisco, and Charles Francisco; her sisters Alice Scott, Edith Buckley and Mary Jane Sale; and her husband Budgie.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Becky's angelic caregivers who provided the finest attention possible to Becky throughout her extended illness.

A celebration of Becky's life will be held at Louisa Christian Church on Saturday, June 21 at Noon. There will be private burial service for members of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Becky's honor to the Louisa Christian Church.
