There will be a memorial service held for Richard at Crestwood Church, 1200 Charter Colony Parkway, Midlothian, Virginia, 23114 at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 9th. Following the service there will be a celebration of life held at Charter House, 1101 Charter Club Drive, Midlothian, VA, 23114. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, or Hunters for the Hungry.

I am so sorry for your loss. Rick was a great person with a big heart. Loved talking to him when he would call our house to talk to my husband Joe. We would always talk about God and always ended up with a few laughs too. Rick will be missed so much. We love you Rick. R.I.P. My Friend.

Mr. Carruth came to the dentist where I was working and always had a positive outlook on life! He was always smiling and it was a pleasure talking to him
and catching up on his recent trips! So very sorry for your loss!
