Robert Burgess Obituary

BURGESS, Robert Lee, 85, of Richmond, died March 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Terrence T. Burgess; four sisters, Bertha, Margaret, Helen and Betty; two brothers, William and James Burgess. Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Susie Alston Burgess; four faithful and dedicated daughters, Betty Uwaeme, Janice Johnson (Carl Sr.), Lisa Hardimon (Carlos) and Alberta Burgess; four grandchildren, Carl Johnson Jr., Jessica Johnson, LaShonda Hardimon and Jarre Hardimon; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.

Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. where viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 1 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Online guest book and livestreaming at scottsfuneralhome.com.
