CRUICKSHANKS, Dr. Robert Edward, 1954-2020

Dr. Robert Cruickshanks, 66, a dentist in Bon Air for 34 years, passed away in Chippenham Hospital, December 10, 2020, due to a fall in his home. He was predeceased by parents, Frances J. and John S. Cruickshanks II; brothers, Thomas H. and John S. Cruickshanks III. Bob is survived by sister, Patricia, who helped him throughout his career; three dogs, three aunts, 10 cousins and several devoted friends.

Born April 13, 1954, Bob grew up in Ginter Park, graduated from John Marshall High School '72; Virginia Tech '76; and VCU Dental School '80. Bob was a very talented dentist and took on even the most challenging dental cases, never turning a patient away. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling, cars and dogs. A celebration of Bob's life will be held April 9, 2021, at 11 a.m. in Hollywood Cemetery.

Pat, so sorry to read of Bob´s passing. Spent many a day over the Cruickshank's home on Wilmington Avenue or in a boat, fishing with Tom and Bob. Hope fond memories of your parents and brothers will sustain you for many years to come.
