To Robert III
January 22, 2004
Dear Robert,
I was so sorry to hear of the death of your father, he was my father's
doctor Gerald W. Van Wuyckhuyse for
many many years. He is the reason
we were able to have dad as long as
we did. He was a wonderful doctor
and person, as you are and I know
he will be greatly missed by all
his old patients but mostly by his
family.
May you find peace in knowing that
he is watching over you.
God Bless You Robert and your family

Clark,
We went to Trinity together and I was
so sorry to hear about the death of your father. My beloved father died just 20 days ago on New Years Day so I know what you are and will be going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I'm sure he will continue to watch over you and guide you, as fathers always do.

Dr. Robert E. Mitchell Jr.
I am 57 years old and I saw Dr. Mitchell when I was 16 years old.
He took care of my problem and I would have stay with him until he retired but todays Insurance would not let me. Dr. Mitchell took care of both my parents. Dr. Mitchell and my mother (Kitty Craig) can have a great conservation in heaven without mother talking about a pain. Dr. Mitchell is a SAINT.
God Bless You

It was with great sorrow that I read of Dr. Mitchell's passing. He was my first physician when I left college in 1965 and was a warm and caring physician to both me and my mother, Rose Ruffin, showing great compassion when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 1997. The world was blessed to have such a wonderful person serving others.

I worked at Richmond Memorial Hospital many years ago and met Dr. Mitchell then. His quiet, kind manner and concern for his patients was so evident. It was always a pleasure when he came on the unit and I remember him fondly.

I wanted to express my sincere sympathy to the family. I had known your father and husband since 1982 when he took care of my grandmother. He was a wonderful person to myself and my family. Your father took the time out of a busy day to call and wish my grandmother happy birthday. She was 90 years old. With your fathers guidance and help we had my grandmother for three more years. He was one of the best and I am sorry for your loss.
