Ruth Anne Childress Elswick

ELSWICK, Ruth Anne Childress, 89, of Richmond, Va., formerly of Breaks, Va., died May 6, 2022. She was preceded in death by Delmer Elswick, her husband of 54 years; and her nine brothers and sisters. Ruth was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a 50-year member of Hanover Chapter 130 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of North Run Baptist Church, where she served in the church library for 33 years. Ruth enjoyed many hobbies, collecting dolls, books, her Shelties Tinker and Chipper and serving others though many charitable organizations with her husband, Delmer. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, church family and friends. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 14, 1 p.m. at N.B. Colley Cemetery, Breaks, Va.
