My sister was blessed to know Buddy as the father of her husband Shields and the beloved grandfather of their four sons. I was blessed to come to know this morally, ethically, compassionate good man. He touched my heart. This kind hero of the greatest generation will be missed. The world has one less truly good man. God bless and comfort us all.

The first time I met Bud was at a Thomas and Betts National Sales Meeting in 1957 in New Jersey. Over the years, I got to know him better. Not only was he an excellent salesman, but he was an all around good guy. I must say that that thru our careers with T&B, I never heard anyone say anything negative about Bud, and he was a pleasure to be around.
He will be missed........................Bob Wagner Atlanta

So sorry to hear about Buddy (or "Bud", as he was known around Thomas & Betts). My sincere sympathy to the family of a fine gentleman, who never ceased to be ready with a compliment.

We remember the Jetts as neighbors in Stratford Hills and cherish the years of friendship we had with them. Their door was always open, and Buddy was never too busy for a visit. He was warm, peaceful, and so easy to be around. Please know that we share your loss and pray for your family's comfort. You have so much to be proud of and so many wonderful memories.

Dr. Jett & Family,
I am very sorry for your loss but as I know no words can take away the grief you are feeling right now. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Jett's death. As a member of Westover Hills UMC, I have known him for 40 years, and he was always smiling and in a great mood. I will never forget the story he told at one church service of his narrow escape from a grenade during his time on Okinawa. He was a wonderful man and I will miss him.
