I feel as though I've just gotten to know Sammy and his little family and now he is gone. But I'm so glad that I spoke with him a little while at Ashley and Cary's wedding. I've learned so much about him from the entries here and from the wonderful article about him in THE PROGRESS INDEX. Marsha, I can't express my deep sorrow for your loss. It goes against nature to out live your children, but think how empty your life would have been without your son in it and be glad for the gift of his life and his love for you.
I do beleive there is something waiting for all of us and he has found it.

I am so very sorry to hear about Sammy. Those days at Leggett seem a lifetime ago, but have been rushing back to me this week like they were yesterday. I know how much you love him. My birthday buddy will be celebrating in Heaven. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you.

Becky, I dont't know you ....but my mom Nancy Winn (married to James)has spoken how much she has enjoyed visiting with you whenever her, Claude, James, and Beaulah used to stop by to visit....and now James, Beaulah and now your husband Sam have gone to be with the lord...all are in good hands and will no longer be suffering...I know most of the Winns and all are good people...sorry Sam had another mission at such a young age...That hit hard with me ...due to the fact I was born in March of 1969. I am hearing of peers my age that are having heart attacks more and more every day.....so please take care of yourself and your two little ones....they need you more than ever..Sorry for your loss...

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. "Grip" was a great guy and a great friend who was well liked by everyone. As kids we had a lot of fun times together and I often think back to those times.

I worked with Sammy, he was a great asset to our county and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. I will always remember him laughing and being happy. I will miss him.

Becky,Marsha,and Tammy i am so very sorry for your lose of a husband ,son and brother. Sambo was a very dear friend to me as we grew up together in cub scouts and riding our three wheelers seeing who could get the most mud on each other ,laughing and giggling the day away . we eventually grew up and went on to have our own family. becoming adults and loving our children the way we where loved by our parents . Sambo thinking of you as my dear brother you will always be loved and remembered dearly in my heart . We will miss you very much , but the fun times we had in our life will always be remembered.
