PALMER, Sarah E., departed this life November 29, 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Iris Allen Friend; son, Horace Lee Allen III (Mary Jane); granddaughter, Melissa F. Martin; three grandsons, James H. Friend III, Noah P. Allen (Rebecca) and Michael J. Allen (Julianne); two sisters, Mary W. Thompson and Esther W. Kaufman; five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where viewing will take place Monday, December 6, 2021, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 31st Street Baptist Church, 823 N. 31st St., on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 11 a.m. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
