Scott Curtis Bumgarner Sr.

Scott Curtis Bumgarner Sr., age 44, of Glen Allen, passed away peacefully with his family present on Friday, July 25, 2003 at MCV Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Martine; three sons, Scott Jr., Brandon and Wesley, all still living at home; his mother, Shirley Wood of Richmond; four brothers, Jeffrey of Manakin-Sabot, Rex of Richmond, Ricky of Rockville, and Eric of Manakin; one sister, Robin Foster of Glen Allen; his grandmothers, Agnes Bumgarner of Hickory, N.C., and Sylvia Franks of Atlanta, Ga.; aunts and uncles, Mr and Mrs. Jasper Bumgarner of Richmond, Suzanne Bumgarner of Lake Gaston, N.C., Mr. and Mrs. Mack Bowman of Hickory, N.C., Donna Lockhart, Monica Radar, Nancy Wright, and Sonny Franks; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, Monument and Horsepen, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday. Interment will follow in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the three Bumgarner sons’ continuing education fund at CVB, 3490 Lauderdale Dr., Richmond, Va. 23233.
