Susan Korman Obituary

KORMAN Susan Amelia Ukrop Korman, 87, died February 15, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Korman Sr. She is survived by one sister, Anne U. Valack; one brother, Sam D. Ukrop and his wife, Emily; two daughters, Linda K. Gunderson and her husband, Aubrey, and Sharon K. Anderson and her husband, Jim; three sons, William M. Korman Jr. and his wife, Diane, Mark S. Korman and his wife, Elizabeth, and Timothy J. Korman and his wife, Lona; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Korman loved her family and church and was a blessing to all who knew her. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 17 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 18 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Christian Life Center, 5270 Charles City Rd., with burial in the church cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Building Fund. Online condolences may be registered at www.nelsenfh.com.

I have so many good memories of Mrs. Korman. Whenever I would see her at Ukrop's, she would always ask how my mom was and to tell her that "Ms. 4th of July" said hello. Up until mom went into the hospital, she would ask if I say anyone at the store I knew and she would always ask if I saw "Susie." We can rejoice in knowing that they are in Heaven praising God and walking the streets of gold together again with our loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

Am sorry to hear about Sue(Mrs. Korman always to me) has passed. My familys prayers will be with the remaining family members. She has certainly gone to a better place. If any of the family members need anything, anything at all please dont hesitate to ask.
