Terry Padgett Obituary

PADGETT Terry Hartley Padgett, 62, of Mechanicsville, died Thursday, October 19, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Rita Y. Padgett; two daughters and their husbands, Hannah and Robert Bonfiglio, Sarah and Darvin Escobar; three grandchildren, Lilly, Lucy and Robbie; a sister, Georgia Hicks; and a brother, Preston Padgett. Mr. Padgett was a member of Hanover Evangelical Friends Church, where he sang in the choir, was a member of the Friendship Class and a valuable volunteer in the Food Ministry. He was also an Army veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division and a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service. His family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund or the Missions Fund of Hanover Evangelical Friends Church, 6420 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, Va. 23111.
