Theodore Cotcamp Obituary

Theodore Roosevelt "Ted" Cotcamp Jr., 76, of Chester, Va., passed away on June 23, 2025, in Chester. Born on April 16, 1949, in Covington, Kentucky, Ted lived a life marked by dedication to his family and a strong work ethic that carried him through decades of service in various industries.
He was a devoted husband to Nancy Connelly Cotcamp; and a proud father to Theodore Roosevelt Cotcamp III (Julie C), Jason Alexander Zeh, and Justin Carl Zeh (Julie Z). Ted's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn Summer Schaal (Olivia and Holden), Theodore Roosevelt Cotcamp V, Thomas Cole Cotcamp, Theodore Roosevelt Cotcamp VI, Emma Mae Zeh, Allison Lynn Zeh, and Jacen Ezra Zeh.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Roosevelt Cotcamp Sr. and Ruth Ursula Steinicke; as well as two beloved grandchildren, Theodore Roosevelt Cotcamp IV and Tyler Jay Zeh.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

Missing you more and more everyday, Papa. I hope you know how truly loved you are. We are all thinking about you, and praying you are in a happy and safe place. I sure do hope you are watching over us. You will never know the impact you left on all of us. I love you so much, and miss you.

Papa for the time I´ve known him cared so deeply about others and loved to pass on his knowledge from water heaters to car radio installations. I have so many amazing memories with him from talking about the best burgers in OBX to sitting down on the computer scrolling through Facebook marketplace looking for trucks. With all he was going through he would always take the time to check up on me. I was never related to him but he always treated me like I was his grandson and for that I will always be grateful for the impact he left on my life.

Nancy, Jason, Justin & the whole family...
I just want to tell you that I am stunningly heartbroken for all of you. I have SO MANY great memories of Ted and actually ran into him just a couple of years ago. Ted was such a great husband, father, and friend. I hope that you are all able to find comfort and peace in the endless memories you have as you wade through all of the heartbreak of his leaving.
I am sending you all, all of my love and prayers for healing and peace.
