In loving memory of Thomas Anthony "Tony" Weiler, Sr.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tony Weiler, Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and beloved community member. He left us on June 13, 2024, at 87, in Fort Myers, Florida. He lived a fulfilled life known for his gentle spirit, generosity, and Southern charm.
Tony was born on September 3, 1936, in Richmond, Virginia. He is predeceased by his father, Walter F. Weiler, his mother, Minnie S. Jones, and his sister, Nancy W. Jones. He is survived by his cherished wife of 65 years, Anna M. Weiler; his three children, Anna Lynn Turner and her husband Jeff; Kathryn "Katy" W. King and her husband Doug; Thomas A. "Tony" Weiler, Jr. and his wife Angela; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He graduated high school at the Greenbrier Military Academy and attended Randolph Macon College. Tony served in the United States Army, was owner of Weiler Insulation Company in Richmond, Virginia, became a sales representative for E.R. Carpenter Company, and retired as the owner of U.S. Urethane & Products Inc, a commercial roofing contractor in southwest Florida. He excelled in his "bid-ness" and worked hard to exceed his clients' expectations. His dedication, expertise, and integrity earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients.
Tony was a member of the Rotary Club of Sanibel-Captiva and served on the board of directors of the Rappahannock River Yacht Club, where he was an avid sailor where the family enjoyed spending summers together. Tony's other hobbies included recumbent biking, traveling with his wife Anna, fishing the flats of Pine Island Sound, gardening, and cheering for the Florida Gators. His spirit was infectious, and he always brought joy by sharing his enthusiasm with everyone he encountered-whether a Gator fan or not!
The family will have a private service, and a celebration of Tony's life will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to
The Parkinson's Foundation of SWFL (
https://parkinsonassociationswfl.org) or Hope Hospice (

Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Fair winds and following seas, dear Daddy. May your eternal voyage be as magnificent as the waters you so dearly loved.
