I have many fine memories of my long-standing professional relationship with Tim particularly when it involved Swana events. I vividly remember what a great sense of humor Tim had and his quick wit was always on his "A" game.
May God continue to bless and comfort, Tim`s family and friends who continue to remember and mourn his loss.

I was saddened by Tim's passing. I knew Tim for many years professionally with our common association with SWANA. Those in the industry know exactly what this organization is.
Tim was a kind and gentle soul. His wit was keen and he was a master of his craft,
My sincere sympathies and condolences to his family.

Sorry for your loss.....Tim was a member of the "Dragons" Sportsbackers Half Marathon Training Team for two years. He was always support and encouraging to his fellow runners. He smiled through the tough runs as well as the easy ones. The world will be a little less bright without him. Praying for family and friends

My most heartfelt sympathies to the Torrez family. I knew Tim well and worked with him in the solid waste industry for many years. I also served on the VA SWANA Board of Directors. He was the consummate professional. He knew his profession well. He will be missed. God Bless.

My sincere condolences to the Torrez family. I didn't know Tim other than through work, but he was always fun to chat with, especially when bantering about Wawa vs. Sheetz hoagies, he of course being a bigger fan of Wawa. I recall his excitement for HoagieFest! Thank you for sharing such a lovely tribute about Tim. He certainly lived a full life, a great example for us all.

To all Tim's family and friends in PA, we want to let you know how important and loved Tim was in the Richmond community. His energy, humor and love were a blessing to us that will be tremendously missed and never forgotten. Thank you for sharing him with us - for far too short a time. We never fully understand God's plan. But, know our love and prayers are with you as you grieve his loss. We do, too.

Tim made such a difference for the Richmond/Powhatan communities and we are grateful for his varied commitments to our environment, to the mutual appreciation for our train history and to our son and Tim's mutual enthusiasm for their craft beer brewery. We are very appreciative of Tim's selfless accomplishments and his on-going impact. He will be greatly missed.

My heartfelt condolences to Tims family and friends. I did not have the opportunity to get to know Tim. I met him as a contractor doing some work on his house in Bellevue and we hit it off well, he was a very nice guy. A good person gone to soon.

Our family sends our sincere to Tim´s family. I knew Tim both through work and socially. Tim was the DJ for our youngest daughter,Erin. Her wedding and reception was held at Hanover Tavern, a colonial wayside in Hanover County. The reception was held on the second floor above the Taverns restaurant. Tim being a good Hokie held started the festivities off with Enter Sandman to the delight of the Hokie bride and wedding party. All the Hokies present (lots) immediately began jumping, within seconds a pale faced restaurant manager appeared explaining the ceiling in the restaurant was coming down on their diners. I subsequently spoke with neighbors who were dining and they confirmed the frightening dining experience. Tim was therefore responsible for one of our family´s favorite stories when the Hokies almost brought down one of the oldest structures in Virginia. Rest in peace Tim
