W. CARTER Obituary

CARTER, Graham. Wilbur, but don't call him Wilbur, Graham Carter was joyously reunited with his beloved wife, Mary Ellen Carter, in God's laughing glow on February 10, 2013. A leader of men, he led our Army's 101st Cavalry on border patrol in Korea. He was a self-professed "professional gambler" as the VP of the Inland Marine Division of Markel Essex Insurance, where he insured the transport of goods as diverse as a WWII submarine and a velociraptor, jokingly nicknamed "Bambi." In his passing, he remains a loving father of his son, William; and daughter, Wendy. He also remains the sweet, little brother to his cousin, Barb; and the savior of a wiggling butted pit-bull, Lady. His heart held his family and friends close in his final days. He was so happy. A memorial celebrating his life will be held Monday, February 18, at 12 noon at Hope Church, 12445 Patterson Ave., 23238. In lieu of flowers, please give generously to Resources for Independent Living in Graham's name.
