I will miss Wally at church and in the work place. It is always better to have someone with more experience than you backing you up; and I relied on his oversight and technical ability often in architectural design projects. Wally had God's gift of talent, a gifted hand, and he drew some of the best work produced in our office. His rendered elevations are often used as examples to show to clients the level and quality of work and design to be expected at various stages of a project. As computer drafting evolved and there was concern at the turn of the millennium of computer crashes, he would remind us occasionally that his pencil was always Y2K compliant. Uncle Wally, as my seven year old daughter would call him, often had protracted discussions regarding how in the world he and her kitten could have the same name - Wally. He will be missed in so many ways only you and I understand.

I did not know Wallace, but I had the good fortune to teach his son David while he was a student at the Governor's School. The thoughts and prayers of his classmates and teachers are very much with him and his family now.
