February 13, 1953 - July 16, 2025
Walter Lee Bourne, 72, of Montpelier, Va., passed away on July 16, 2025, after a long and courageous struggle with heart failure. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Lee Bourne; his mother, Hattie Brown Bourne; as well as his sister, Debbie Gary.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patti Mauzy Bourne; his sisters, Jenni Jafarbay (Joe), Kathy Corley; his nieces and nephews, Amber (Johnny), Lindsey (Adam), Stacy (Casey), Chris (Amy), and Cory; as well as his mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Mauzy; and his sister-in-law, Debbie Mauzy. Lee also leaves behind a group of lifelong friends whom he fondly referred to as brothers.
Lee was the proprietor of West End Printing Company. He grew the small business started by his father into the competitive company it is today. He was very dedicated to the success of his business and loved the daily challenges he faced. He has a wonderful staff who will continue to carry on the work as he would want them to.
Lee loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting before he became unable to do so. His laughter and charm will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends and guests on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bliley's Funeral Home on Staples Mill Rd.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Pauley Heart Center at VCU where he received outstanding care from their doctors and nurses.

My condolences to Jenni and the Bourne family. I was not a close friend of Lee. I knew him from school. He was a good guy. Always made me laugh when I was around him. It´s unfortunate he is gone so soon.
