Walter Francis Wells

WELLS, Walter Francis, 87, of Richmond, Va., passed away on November 30, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Ratcliffe; sisters, Mary Sue Ratcliffe, Jacqueline Stosch, Barbara Dunnavant; brother, Richard Blue; and other family members, Judy Samples, Becky McNeil, and Gary Ratcliffe. He is survived by his family members, Hugh Ragland, Deborah Minter, Dave Landman, Elaine Mitchell, and Nancy Mitchell; close cousins, Thelma Ratcliffe, Shirley Jones, Harold W. Ratcliffe Jr., Patricia Nuttall; and many other loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. Walter worked as a bank accountant for many years. He loved hunting and finishing, and special trips to the mountains. His number one interest was reading and studying the Bible. A public visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road. A graveside ceremony will be held on Friday, December 9 at 11 a.m. in Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery, 18100 Genito Road.
