William H. "Papa" Dudley Jr.

DUDLEY, William H. Jr. "Papa", 79, of Charlottesville, Va., died peacefully on January 16, 2008. Born August 8, 1928, he was the son of the late Williams H. Dudley Sr. and Dolly Ann (Wood) Dudley. He is survived by his six children, Jana Lane and husband, Robert, Joni Killian and husband, Mike, Jule Alston and husband, Thomas, John Dudley and wife, Kristi, Janet Jones and husband, Randy, Steve Dudley and wife, Pat; two sisters, Ruth Knipple and Shirley Gibson; 15 grandchildren, Brandon, Bobby, Brooke, Jose, Myah, Aidan, Jada, Tyler, Sedrick, Auben, Austin, Randall, David, Becky and Tracie; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Dudley served in the U.S. Army as a firefighter with the Headquarters and Headquarters Service Company of the 36th Engineer Group during the Korean War. His remains rest at Bliley's-Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Avenue, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and where services will be held Monday at 12 noon. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
