Dear Dr. Jarvis.
I'm sorry for your loss.
I only knew David for a short time but I can tell you he did not pass alone. David and I had very long and interesting talks about our creator.I know he was searching for more and I can tell you he found it. I prayed for him often and I know he loved you. May God continue to smile upon you

Dear Dr. and Mrs. Jarvis,

Both my wife and I were saddened to hear of Dave's
passing. We had lost contact with him over the years, as we both moved to different places. But in the time we knew him, he was a good friend and we always enjoyed his tremendous wit and blinding humor.

Dear Dr. & Mrs. Jarvis,

Dave was a special person who left us way too early. He will be remembered for landmark contributions to science and our understanding of the molecular and biochemical pathways that control cell growth and death. More importantly, he touched many, many lives with his wit, intellect, and humanity. Dave made a tremendous difference in my life and I will miss him terribly.

David:

Thanks so much for all of the great laughs. I still think I might be right about Forest Gump being a great movie. That not withstanding, I hope you are enjoying the promise of heaven, as well as that perfect body. The Bible says that the greatest thing we can ask for is the Lord upon our entry to say: "Well done my fine and faithful servant" Well done David, well done indeed.

I worked with David at Dominion Diagnostics in Rhode Island. Although I only knew him for a short time, I will always remember David for his sharp wit and sense of humor. I will also remember the day when myself and another employee assisted David with setting up a new analyzer for the lab. I could tell the passion he had for the science in the way his eyes lit up when he was explaining to us the important role that instrument would play in our lab. He had a smile on his face a mile wide.

My deepest sympathies to his family.
