Winston Spencer Obituary

SPENCER, Winston Clarence, "Bubba", 63, of Crewe, VA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Norma Hodge Spencer; two sons, Jeremy Spencer and Buck Jenkins (Whitney); his sister, Christy Ballou; five grandchildren, Kaylee Spencer, Chase Jenkins, Abigail Spencer, Tyler Spencer and Parker Jenkins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Debra Greene (Ricky), Nancy Bullock (Ken), Arlene Parrish, Pete Hodge (Debbie), Neil Jones, Harold Wayne Hodge (Sharon), Willard Hodge, Sarah Davidson (Erik); and a special cousin, Aubry Spencer. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Anne Spencer; brother-in-law, Gary Parrish; and sister-in-law, Jenny Jones. Bubba was a wonderful husband, daddy, granddaddy, and "Updad". He loved to hunt, golf, play softball and enjoyed any outdoor activities with his friends and family. Most important of all, Bubba loved his grandkids more than anything on this earth.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the Crewe Chapel of Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 200 W. Carolina Ave., Crewe, VA 23930. Funeral services will be held in the Crewe Chapel at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, with interment to follow in the Crewe Cemetery. www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
