Wrenn Putney Obituary

PUTNEY, Wrenn Mooring, passed away on July 28, 2023 at 91. She was born on November 2, 1931 in Chesterfield County, VA to the late Floyd and Flora Mooring. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Lee Putney and by her sisters, Nettie Gordon, Harriet Horner Marocchi, and Shirley Stoneham.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Martha, Mark and Leslie Putney; her grandchildren, Scott and Casey Putney, Elisabeth and Justin Mygatt, and Leanna Helton; her great-grandchildren, Caroline, Carter and Ellie Putney; Harrison, Marshall and Frasier Mygatt.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, The Woman's Club, The Tuckahoe Woman's Club and The Windsor Farms Garden Club, where she was a past president.

She will be remembered for her love of family and gardening, as well as her musical and artistic talents. She began painting in her 60's.

A private family service will be held at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westminster Canterbury Richmond Foundation (Gardens Fund), 1600 Westbrook Avenue, Richmond, VA 23227.
