Cecil lived directly across the street from my family when we lived in Brandenburg, Kentucky. I would guess that he and I chatted out front of our homes at least a few times a week, so I got to know Cecil pretty well over the years. He was such a devoted husband to his wife Maxine and a wonderful stepfather to Merry Jane. He was always kind to my young daughter who absolutely adored him. Cecil was also a big dog lover. One day I called Cecil on the phone to tell him about a dog who needed a home. The next thing I knew I heard Cecil's car start up and drive down the street. Sure enough, Cecil wasted absolutely no time going to pick up that little Boston Terrier in need of a home. That dog was his Bugsy who he loved and took care of for the rest of Bugsy's life. I was so sad to hear of Cecil's passing but feel honored to have known him and been his friend. He made the world a better place, and it's sad to think of a world without him in it. God bless you, Cecil. You were a good man and a good friend. You will always be thought of fondly. Much love from Karen Kennedy (and Steve and Nadia)

Cecil's home was directly across the street from my family's home when we lived in Brandenburg, Kentucky. I got to know him very well during the several years we both lived there. He was such a devoted husband to his wife Maxine and a wonderful stepfather to Merry Jane. He was always kind to my young daughter and she adored him. Cecil and I had many a chat out front of our homes. I guess we talked at least a few times a week. He was a great neighbor and I am so sad to hear that he passed. Cecil was also a big dog lover. One day I called him on the phone and told him about a dog that needed a home and within minutes I heard his car start and him driving down the street. Sure enough, he adopted a sweet Boston Terrier named Bugsy that very day. I will never forget Cecil's huge heart. God bless you, Cecil. You were a good man and a good friend! Much love - Karen Kennedy (and Steve and Nadia)
